With increasing popularity of Linux operating systems running off ARM cores, modern embedded systems are turning into more sophisticated and self-contained machines.
As a major step in this direction, ECM presents ARMadillo:: The Emebdded Linux Distribution, oriented towards embedded platforms built around the i.MX series of processors from Freescale, and specifically built for their ARM9 hardware platform, the ARMour.
The current ARMadillo distribution is built around the Linux kernel 2.6.16, and is available for download as a tar ball image (for beginers), or tar ball source (for advanced users) in the Downloads Section.
The latest code and the CVS can be accessed at ARMadillo's SourceForge.net page.
