Gaea is an exceptionally small and ultra low-cost microcontroller based general
pupose embedded system. Featuring a variety of commonly used peripherals such as LCD, switches, LEDs, etc., Gaea
can be used to build an exceedingly wide range of applications.
The sheer simplicity of Gaea allows it to
be effectively reused in multiple designs, making it an invaluable tool for all embedded systems developers.

Portable Handheld Device: Due to its small size and a plethora of peripherals, Gaea can be effectively
used as a portable handheld device catering to various applications.
Industrial Control System: An industrial control system
which can be completely configured and monitored over an RS232 bus.
Local Monitoring and Display Unit: Data taken from various
sensors can be monitored and displayed over the LCD and then passed over the RS232.
Sensor Network: A network of Gaeas can be connected using RS232 / RS485 to monitor and log
various parameters with the help of sensors
Remote Data Transfer: The IR transmitter receiver pair on board can be used for Remote Data Transfer.
Learning Remote Control: Gaea can act as a learning remote control for many systems controlled remotely over the IR.
Reference Device: Gaea can be used as a small handheld reference device to look up data already
stored in its memory and display it over the LCD.
Teaching Aid: An invaluable teaching aid for a wide variety of concepts in
